About
The Miles for Messiah 5K is an annual race held at Pleasant View Community Church. This race is the main fundraiser for our youth program. From this event alone, we are able to raise enough money to fund our youth group’s yearly Summer Camp and Winter Retreat. The Miles for Messiah 5K starts and finishes at Pleasant View Community Church. We also offer a pancake breakfast to all the runners after the race. The course is a figure 9 with a loop off of Doggett Road and one gradual incline. Our church leaders and youth group manage the event and try to make it an event that is fun for the whole family. The race has been in the Rutherford Outdoor Coalition race series since 2012.
The 2023 Miles for Messiah 5K will be held on May 20th, 2023.

The registration fee for 5K, Rucking Division and Virtual Racers is $25 before May 5th. The fee is $30 from May 6th up until race day. There is no fee for the Fun Run.
Sponsorship Information
We would greatly appreciate it if you, your family, or your business would like to be a sponsor for this year’s race. Donations of any amount are welcome, but donations over $75 get your family name or business name on our race shirts and promotional materials with added benefits for larger donations. The sponsorship levels are as follows:
- Bronze/Family Sponsor ($75 – $199)
- Company/Family name in small for on back of shirts and all race promotional items.
- Silver Sponsor ($200 – $299)
- Name/Logo in medium font on back of shirts and all race promotional items and 1 complimentary race entry, including breakfast plate.
- Gold Sponsor ($300 – $499)
- Name/Logo in large font on back of shirts and all race promotional items (including social media) and 2 complimentary race entries, including breakfast plates.
- Platinum Sponsor ($500+)
- Name/Logo in extra large font on back of shirts and all race promotional items (including social media) and 3 complimentary race entries, including breakfast plates.
